Default Difference between 96-00 D-series Shifter and 99-00 EM1 Si Shifter

Anyone know the difference between the 96-00 D-series Shifter and 99-00 EM1 Si Shifter? The part numbers are different.

Part #2:

96-00 D-series Shifter - 54101-S01-A01

99-00 EM1 Si Shifter - 54101-SH3-010

And are they interchangeable?

One is a d-series shifter the other is a b-series shifter no they are not interchangable.

Why aren't they interchangeable?

The width of the lower part (where it bolts to the linkage) is different.

So would a DC2 dual bend shifter work on the EM1 linkage?

I was just wondering if I could use the d-series shifter on an EM1 shift linkage. But it doesn't sound like that'll work. Now I'm wondering if I can use a DC2 shifter in an EM1 shift linkage.

No thats only for integra shifters, the integra shifters are wider where it bolts up to the linkage!!! I ordered the 99 civic si shift linkages when I did my swap and they bolted up to my d-series shifter perfectly. BUT when I bought my GSR shifter, i had to cut the shifter bushing so that it would fit into my shift linkage.

I never saw an si shifter, but in my helms book its shows the d-series shifter and it looks like a regular shifter and the si shifter picture it looks like a dual bend integra shifter. So maybe the si shifters come with a dual bend?????

Ahh okay.. that's good to know. I've seen pictures of the EM1 Si shift linkage and shifter and it uses a single bend shifter. It looks like the d-series shifter, but perhaps it has a different throw?

Okay, I just picked up an EM1 shift linkage and shifter. Here are pictures of the d-series shifter next to it. The ball and lower pivot are in the same positions. The widths are the same. The only difference seem to be the thread length at the shifter tops.
