what's decent clutch for street and drag?
I tried to seach but i could not find it. which is the OK clutch for street and drag? is 10lb fly wheel is too much for street?
I'm quite happy with my 6 puck ACT and 10lbs is fine on the street if you ask me.
I ran an 8.8lb before and loved it.
It's really up to you how mean you want the clutch to be, being I don't daily a 6 puck is aok for me.

I agree with you max, I love a light flywheel, people that down them its such bs.
I personally liked the competion clutch stg 5. It was a 4 puck un sprung hub.
It was fine on the street once you got used to it and you never had to worry about the clutch slipping.. Does some nice 2nd gear burnouts too
I never did dyno my lsvtec but I would get somewhere around 185-190 whp with 13.87 and my 96 mph trap..
Hope this helps

well if your going for something that your going to dd more then you track.. I would say something like a clutch masters stage 3 kevlar.. one of the best street strip clutches out there imo.
I said stg 5 cause my lsvtec made decent power and I tracked it alot when I had it, the problem with that stage one is that its made of the same organic material as a oem clutch and will burn up just as fast.. the kevlar that comes in the stage 2 or 3 is made to last the abuse of most honda drivers.

I've had the same ACT HD/SS Street disc setup in my car since I built the motor two years ago.
It holds up fine to my daily beatings, and still nets me 104-105mph trap speeds in my 195whp, 2600lbs. Civic coupe.

Action Clutch 1MD. Invisible for DD, grabs hard when you need/want it to. Along with a Fidanza 7.5lb fw, it took .4 off my 1/4 (see my bio for link). If it didn't cost so much I'd switch to a smaller diameter clutch and flywheel. The 1MD is really light for what it is, but I want my rotating assembly as light as I can get it.
comp clutch stage 2 or stage 3. i have the stage 3 and its one hell of a mean clutch i churp all gears and ill spin through second if i bang it in gear hard enough. but its very touchy and the friction point is pretty tight but if my 16 yr old brother can drive it i think you can. well atleast i hope u can.

I'M IN NO WAY AGAINST EXEDY CLUTCHES. Just make sure you GET THE RIGHT stage/application for your needs.
This is what happened to my exedy stg1 clutch with street/track/drag. I've had it for 2yrs. with 50% of life left. It worked great within those 2yrs.
