Severe vibration upon acceleration
I would appreciate it if someone could assist me in finding the solution to my vibration issue. I drive a 94 Honda Accord EX w/auto. After driving 10-15 miles, I feel a severe vibration when I am driving between 40-60 mph and 1400-1800 rpms only. It also makes a clunking noise upon deceleration at lower speeds.
I have new tires and have just replaced the front, rear and transmission mounts. I had replaced the both drive axles a year or so ago with AutoZone rebuilds. They worked awhile until this happened. I believed it was bad CV joints again so I replaced them once again with AutoZone drive axles (this time they were new).
I still receive the severe vibrations. It reminds me of bad U-joints in my older car. It has 160,000 miles, but the lower ball joints and wheel bearings appear not to be the concern.
Could I have 2 bad pairs of drive axels from AutoZone? One not lasting mote than 1 day? Hope someone can shed some light. I would certainly appreciate it.
Stumped!

I am starting to get those same symptoms on my 95EX only between 1800 and 2100 rpm and I have tranny fluid slowly leaking out so patching it up this weekend hope that helps. But my car has 280K
i know u said the wheel barrings seemed fine, but i have a 5spd 94 and it was suffering frm the same symptoms, it was a pretty violent shake after a certain speed, not rpms, turned out it was my wheel barrings... hope that helps good luck diagnosing the prob.
Also ,, is the engine running ok ?? ( miss ) ..
you might want to chk the installation of the axles?? lower ball joint nuts. axle nut etc etc
does the steering wheel shake or you feel the shaking under the seats like ??
also chk the status of the radius rods , make sure that nuts are tight and bushings are ok,

If you are noticing vibrations only at that speeds/rpm, it sounds like a transmission problem(torque converter). If you are not sure when the tranny fluid was replaced, go ahead and do a 2x drain/fill. Also, take a look at transmission solenoids to see if they are clogged.
