what size wheels/tires? Is it the stock 185/45/14?

I have a 97 civic coupe and i don't rub with a 2.5 in drop on stock wheels

For sure!

No, seriously. It all depends on what size wheels and tires you are running. I have 205/50 tires on 15in wheels and I'm rubbing on a 1.8" drop. Not severly, but on sold dips/bumps.

on a 205/45/16 setup you should be able to drop your car easily 2-2.5 inches no problem. Past that, fender rub would probably be an issue.
