hey i got this jdm h22a and i am seein that type s cams cost about 600 to 700 bucks.. and from what i understand they just slide right in no adjustments required... now i also hear that if you buy... say crower stage two cams that you have to buy all new valvetrain springs and everthing.. but if i can get some used crowers stage 2 off of ebay for 300 or less then i could buy a crower valve train to match it for like another 300 and supposed vtech wil lhit way harder and i am still only spending about 6 to 700... so what you guys think..
ps i am also lookin to get some type s pistons... this would still be ok because of the sleeving and everything right? so i don't have to buy another brand and go through a bunch of crap...

You need to do much more research..
No, you can not use Type-S Cams without any adjustments.. Although people have, without problems, other people have with devastating results.. It's not recommended.
Most all Stage 2 Cams recommend a Valve Train upgrade, yes.
Remember, you have to pay for someone to install the Valve train also, unless you're going to do it yourself..
It's VTEC, be careful saying vtech you'll get yourself ripped a new one for saying that. But I don't know what you mean by "vtech will hit way harder." With a Cam/Valve Train upgrade, yes you'll get more HP, and the Cams will love the Higher Compression from the Type-S Pistons. But you'll have to get the engine tuned for this, remember that, for best results that is.. And then many more parts would be recommended to go with that, like the basics, intake, header, exhaust, etc...
You could use Type-S Pistons with the Stock FRM Sleeves, correct.

yeah that was my mispell sorry forum
but anyways back to good stuff i have cold air intake, headers, exhaust and simple stuff like that installed.. i also have a hondata s200 with p28 ecu but i don't have the chip tuned for my car yet so it is not installed.. i don't wanna have that put on until i get most of my other stuff on so i don't have to go all the way to houston again and again for a retune everytime i do something to it.. ya know? ok so it sounds like for sure i can go ahead and try to find some type s pistons.. but for cams what are you suggesting? if i buy type s cams and pistons that will put me at 220 right? or is there anything else i need from type s? so what about a suggestion on the cams since i got what pistons i need to look for... full valve train and crower cam upgrade or simple type s swap out?
any prices or places you know anybody sellin some type s stuff?

how much difference does the port and polish make on a stock jdm h22a like i have? how much it cost ya? did you send it off or do it locally?
First, on a 4 banger, its a header, not headers.
I highly recommend using the OS (.25 mm over) Type S pistons and starting on fresh metal in the block, ultimately this will help compression slightly. With a good tune, type s cams and pistons, the MOTOR will make 220ish hp, but remember, that's not the same as to the wheels. You'll have about 190-200 to the wheels.
Port and polish is good but not really a necessity. The Type S H22's came with one from the factory. Price varies from place to place. If you're on a budget, it's ok to skip.
