Painting Valve Cover
I know this topic was around a while ago, but I can't seem to find it anymore.
Anyways, I'm going to paint my valve cover within the next week or so and I was just wondering if I had to get a new gasket even though it was replaced at the beginning of the summer?
And, what are some of your opinions on some colors for my valve cover? I have so many in mind i can't decide. Car is gold and under the hood I have a red intake, strut bar, and some red wires. So I was thinking of adding some red into the cover.

i think theres a thread made just for this in the cosmetics or paint body forum, i forgot. but for the colors i think the red valve cover would be coo and paint the vtec gold to match ur car.
I also had those colors in mind... A gold cover with red lettering
. I don't think I would do lime green though lol. I like when stuff matches, I'm just that type of person.

When I painted my cover I re-used the gasket with no issues. Just be extremely careful when tightening the cover back on, the oem studs like to break like they are made out of jelly or something. IMO you should paint it to match what you have. I went the lime-green route, but that was on a black car with a stock intake etc.
