Sup Fellas..What is the best SRI for my 06 rsx base 5 spd?
Hey guys..I'm new here but I've been browsing for almost 3 years already..Now that I have my car (06 rsx 5 spd base model) and some money saved up I want to mod it a little bit.
I threw tints on it and got a free AEM Short ram intake...but it was old and I didn't like the way it assembled. Sooooo...anyway what would you guys suggest as the best short ram to get? I'm open to get a CAI but it has to have serious water protection because it rains and snows here at least once a week hardcore lol...And I won't have another way of getting around
Also...what would you guys consider the best exhaust to throw on? I was considering the Greddy Evo 2 but I've heard its not very durable. So I'm open to suggestions on just about everything. The exhaust can't be too loud though, cops over here will pull you over for just about anything heh.
Also Did any of you guys do any interior work or exterior work that took your car to a new level? I was thinking of doing HID's maybe but I'm really open to just about any positive addition to this car.
Thanks!

greddy sp2 exhaust is nice and (sexy)quite(little bit louder than a stock 05-06 type-s and aem v2 intake is the best sri for them rainy days in nj
Its not a type S
Comptech looks good, seems to be pretty hard to hydrolock with it..
Other than that . . I need exhaust advice. . I need something Durable / NOT loud. Greddy Evo 2 seemed perfect but people keep telling me if you scrape even slightly you can damage the whole pipe.

not sure if anyone on these boards is running it besides me but I have been nothing less than ecstatic about my Weapon-R Secret Weapon Intake, check it out on their website. The sound, fitment, and quality are all top-notch.
There are dyno tests of various short ram intakes on ClubRSX and the overall best performer was the Injen SRI. Keep in mind these tests were on a Type-S, but the results on a k20a3 should be similiar.
if you want a CAI i could sell you the one i bought but never used... its for a base model 5 spd. ill let it go for 150 shipped. PM me if you are interested

if you have no clue what your talking about then dont post
the aem v2 is by far the best sri hands down
Injen Average sri = 185.128hp & 131.343lbs
AEM V2 Average sri = 190.3hp & 136.75lbs
that is out of the sri's the full intake system the Injen Cold Air(not sri) Run Average = 194.5hp & 135.6lbs so if your looking for a sri and not water locking sytem for those rainy days like where i live then aem v2 is the best by far
