Brake lines for my hatch
Has anyone ever replaced the brake lines (steel) that come from the M/C to the back of the rear brakes? My lines rotted and the M/C isn't holding any fluid because it's leaking from the rotted area. If so how difficult was it? BTW Dealer wants more than $900 to replace this.

Doing hard-lines is not difficult at all, however;
If you have never done them before, I'd recommend that you buy a bunch of cheap tubing and make up a whole bunch of "test" flares in order to learn how to do them!!
Buy a quality flare tool and bender. They are a good investment that you will continue to use over the years.

The Snap-On or SK Tools flaring kits are fantastic. I recommend wire hangers to figure out where you need to go. hell, you never know, you might even end up cleaning it up a bit
