<U>The car</U>:

2003 Accord EX-L (auto, sedan)


<U>The problems</U>:

1. The A/C stopped blowing cold air.
2. The key is extremely hot when you pull it our of the ignition.


<U>My personal assessment so far</U>

1. This car has dual-climate AC. About two weeks ago, the drivers side vents stopped blowing cold air. It didn't happen gradually. Then this weekend, the passenger side stopped blowing cold air. Regardless of how you adjust the temperature and dual-climate controls, the air never gets colder than lukewarm. All fuses are good. The fans kick on when you turn the AC on. The compressor kicks on when you turn on the AC. The blower is blowing air. The heat works fine. WTF?

If this car were 10+ years old, I might say that it must be the freon. But this is a Honda and it's only 4 years old. I have a 92 Civic that still blows frigid AC and has never had any recharge done.

Any ideas???


2. I'm clueless on the key thing. Why would the key get so hot? My fiance was driving the car yesterday and when she pulled the key out and grabbed it, it burnt her finger (the same as if she grabbed a curling iron or blow dryer). It's pretty bad.
