You might want to go even lower on the compression ratio depending how much boost. And if you've got a built head, why not. Boost loves mods. And you might want to wrap that header or make a heat shield, cuz once everything starts heatsoaking, then you lose power and intercooler effectiveness

I don't think you should have a problem....what are the specs on the turbo? O, I see your using the walbro 19o pump, you might want to upgrade to the fuel pump.

that turbo will be running out of breath around 450whp but should be able to make your goal....one thing i noticed that needs to be changed is your fuel pump. A 190 Walbro just isn't going to cut it...you're going to need the 255

I'd say get a sc61 turbo and a better radiator. That little single core isn't going to hold up to that much heat.

Also, see my sig thread! Post your setup.

Ah, ok cool. From that angle it looked like a single core rad.

You also might want to get some sort of crank case ventilation system (NOT the endyn kit: it'll spit oil all over). Otherwise you're going to have mega blowby.

another turbo you could look at for the future is the STC Silver Surfer. It is capable of making the power you want without sacrificing spool....if you want more info PM me or The Shodan

really..............?

why would he need to go lower compression when he has every bit of ignition and fuel control from the hondata s300, hmmmm. this isnt a DSM and we dont need 7:1 comp ratio

mid 9s is perfect, it pulls away from a red light without falling on its face when the clutch comes out

we have the ability to tune well now, so low compression is not the band aid answer

the OP, sounds good except for the max efficiency of your turbo and power goals

for 400whp?? Those aren't very good choices. There are a lot better turbos out there for his power goal.

Honestly i would suggest the Silver Surfer, 60-1, possibly a GT30r, BW S256...i'm sure there are more, but it really depends on your use for the car. I keep thinking about fast spooling turbos that are going to be nearly out of puff past 450whp. Your best options IMO are either the Silver Surfer or a standard 57 trim....

you probably could make the power you want on the turbo you have now and still have pretty good spool times...the 60-1 is going to spool slower obviously and may not be necessary for your setup. Check out that link i PMd you about a little more because that might be the right fit for you...its not quite a 60-1 and not quite a 57 trim....you'd have good results w/ that turbo

Change the pump to a 255 and wire it direct to the batttery for a Good 14v so that your sure it is getting perfect pressure. The turbo you have will make the power you want just fine, will start to max out soon but will make the power you want. If you looking to upgrade get a t3/60-1 or a gt3067r

FWIW, i prefer a mid 8ish:1 motor for big power on pump gas. I've tuned a lot of cars and i can always tell which ones are low comp, the plugs always look way better at that power range...
