There will be a slight difference in sound due to the fact that the header is tubular steel, while the stock manifold is cast iron. The difference won't be terribly significant though.

this is honda-tech, the only person i know here with headerS on a civic is Civette

Noise wise, it will most likely be raspier especially with a hi-flow cat and a cheapo exhaust. Performance wise, on a stock motor power gains will be mediocre at best.

on my e-bay header it makes a *tick tick tick tick* noise because of the thinner metal like Padawan said... i really dont like it, it sounds like an exhaust leak, however it helps in the upper RPM range with power production.

There was a similar sound with my old DC Sports JDM 4-1, and it can be attributed to the fact that the tubing allows more of the valve noise to come through, which would otherwise be muffled buy the thick material of the stock manifold.

so it will make a slight noise, all my exhaust system is stock. the only reason I'm going to put the headers is, because it had the headers of a 89" crx.
