my Toda Spec b exhaust cam broke..need a new one!
The cam gear area started making some noise the other days so I pulled the cover off to check and saw that my exhaust cam seal was leaking. when I removed the Cam bolt I realized that the bolt was holding my cam together...my exhaust cam is broken!!!!
Need to by an exhaust cam or should I just go to a different setup all together?

Wow that sucks, how long have used those cams for before the exhaust one broke? It depends on if you liked the cam, if you liked the power it made, buy the exhaust one buy itself if possible, if not you'll have to buy another set of Spec B's. If thats the case just go try something different.
I love those cams...I ran them for 25 hours of track time!!!! I'm thinking my greddy belt was over tensioned and that caused the end to break off...sucks big time I had a Track day on Sunday!
I was told by Toda that the reason my cam broke is because i didn't use there cam gear with longer stronger cam bolt....make scence but I sould of been informed of this when I got them from a certain store which name I'm not going to mention out of good faith!!!
I purchased a set of Skunk 2 Pro 1+ cams and will received them tomorrow. Brian at Skunk2 is confident that I will yield more power out of these cams???

We had the same problem recently with a toda cam and it was not a fault of Toda someone had over tightened the cam gear bolts in a previous build and the cam broke in the same way as yours, but the comments about a longer bolt have never been explained to us.

This is what I got back
This is Jim. Allen is out of town and won't be back until 9/22.
I am aware of this situation. According to the end user, they used other
mfg.'s cam pulley and using factory cam bolt. This is where the problem is.
All of our cam gears are sold with our cam bolts. Our cam bolts are longer
then factory, this is due to the longer bolt reduces the leverage on the cam
tip because it reach in deeper into the cam. When you're using factory
bolt, which is shorter, the pressure applied on the pulley with short bolt
put a lot of stress on the cam tip thus cause it to snap. This is not
something we cover under warranty. The customer simply should have use our
cam gears and bolt as stated in our cam shaft instruction.
