Default Motorcycle locks?

Any recommendations for a brand of a lock for a motorcycle? I'm starting to think my $15 dollar wal-mart U-lock isnt gonna help me much anymore I'm not looking for a chain link because I have nothing to tie my bike to. I heard kryptonite was good, any inputs? TIA.

Insurance.
2 Krypto chains + 3 different locks (disc lock, chain lock, and maybe a u-tube lock).

Where do you park your bike that you have nothing to lock it to?

I park my bike in a parking lot that is right in front of my condo unit. I live on the second floor so I can't bring the bike inside, unless I construct a huge ramp that bends and curves up the stair well But in my parking lot the closest thing I can chain the bike to is a tree or a light post which is about a good 20 feet from the road pavement, and on grass so I assume the bike wouldn't be balanced anyways.

Locks are merely a deterrent, if someone wants that scooter, he gonna take it. this might work for ya, but it takes a lifetime to learn
