Default need a honest opinion

Hi to everyone i believe this is my first time posting
a future thanks to people for critisism and help anywho

ok here is my dilema
i bought a 89 si hatch a few weeks ago that needed rockers i started to cut them out and only got 1 side done well i drove it to work knowing that when i gave the side i cut out a good tug with a slide hammer and it was as stiff a 40 year old virgin
watching anime on tuesday night... (no would not know anything about that)

so proceeded to drive to work the next morning know that my hangers by the resonator were broke i got about ten miles out heard some clunks from the mid to back end of the car thought nothing of it cause it might have been the exhaust moving around well as i pulled into my house after work i seen brake fluid from the pass rear drum oozing out

well i decided to jack up the car to take off the drum to asses the damage in doing so the jack point ripped up into the fender on the inside into the floor popping the spot welds in the immediate area

Should i fix this possible long and annoying problematic process or do a full si swap in my 91 4dr lx a/t?

and will i need to swap dash harness's or just engine and is the engine harness plug and play if i got the si ecu and si harness engine ect...

not trying to been a noob but i couldnt find anything that said it was plug and play under the search

Yikes, where the heck were you jacking the car from?

It depends on how much time you're willing to put into the repairs and how bad the damage is. You have any pictures?

If you do swap the Si motor to the LX, you'll need to modify your existing LX harness to accept MPFI using pieces of your Si harness and new wire, along with the ECU.

If you want a how-to, look under the "MPFI swap" link in the FAQ.

I'm confused...

You cut out the rocker panels?

You drove without rockers?

You jacked up the car without rockers?

You do realize they add a shitton of stiffness to the chassis, right? And part of that stiffness is needed while jacking up the car.

yes

yes

and yes

its a 500 dollar car with only fender and rocker rust with 84k on the tranny and motor so i looked at it as a swap it was purchased as a project car
i think ill just use it as a swap and sell the left overs for offer plus shipping

but is it easyier to do a dash and engine harness swap or to do a dpfi to mpfi swap ?
