Hmm, the verbiage here looks oddly like my Hondata FS post that I posted a long time ago:
How does everyone have 6 Alcatel chips? I see everyone posting that they have exactly 6 of them......
That price seems ridiculously cheap.. That's over $1500 in stuff for $900... I have to question whether this is legit.

Yup, copied your ad. It was perfect, and I am selling the same setup. Don told me that you were having problems with the Hondata setup you were running, Dustin. I'm going with AEM's EMS.
Youre selling because you heard that someone else has problems with the Hondata - I hope that's not the only reason.
The Hondata has worked great for me with no problems. I just wish that I waited a little longer to buy it so that I could take advantage off all you people selling yours for so cheap. Hey if your legit - someone pick it up, its a great deal.

Hondata works great, I had some minor issues with it but they were no worse than the minor issues I have currently with the EMS.
The primary reasons for my switch were 1) No burning chips w/ the EMS. 2) More features.
Hondata will maintain idle on a honda car better than any standalone engine management system.

Going with the AEM EMS because of reason #1. If I can't sell it for the $900 I want, I'll just keep it. Thanks for helpin' me out.
I still have to find a jumper which will allow me to use my non-OBD setup with the Hondata. Same deal with AEM; it's only available for 92-93 Integra. I have a 1991. Any ideas? Thanks again.

The easiest way to do that is to go to a junkyard and cut the ecu connectors off an obd1 integra/civic/prelude. Leave yourself a good 10" of wire. Then just strip and tap each wire into the ones on your factory harness (leave the factory ECU connector in place). Then you'll have OBD0 and OBD1 connectors in your car, and you'll be able to swap betweeen the EMS/Hondata and your factory ecu at will.
Hondata would be expensive for you too, since you'd need to go to an OBD1 distributor. The EMS will work with your OBD0 distributor.

Yikes...that's a bit of work. Doug initially told me to buy a P74 ECM, which I did. He already "chipped" it for the Hondata I bought. Thanks for the help, Dustin. You da man.
...or would it be better just to get a 1992 Integra? I need to buy a DA either way it goes because my 90 is pretty bashed up....I think I forgot to mention that.
so what exactly does it take to use that hondata 4b that you're selling on a 97 GSR? from the time you buy it, to the time its on your car and running, what else do you have to do?
Nothing really. The system is Brand new, never used. You need to have your P72 ECM (97 GSR) "chipped" by Hondata. I believe the service costs $50. Other than that, your set.
