cel light on in all gears? wtf..listen to story...
so i finally got my crx running...been a long time project.
mild rebuit sohc zc block into a crx hf with an si ecu.
so im driving down the road on a 42 mile engine and suddenly the cel light comes on...and by now im driving and looking down at my ecu cause i have the carpet peeled back...no flashing red light but my cel light is on...ok...i put it in fifth gear and the light goes away...uhhh...ok??
so i try this a couple times and every time it goes away in fifth gear... any ideas of why this is coming on??
oh and somebody show me a picture of where the rad fan relay is on a crx...

First, pay attention to the LED on the ECU when you power on the car, does it come on? This will tell you if the LED is burnt out.
You need to make sure you clear your codes completely, then retest and see if you have any issues.

You didn't mention it, but I had the exact opposite problem when my speedo wasn't hooked up. Another guess is that if the car runs fine otherwise, it could be an O2 sensor.
If you suspect your LED may be out, try another known working ECU. Or you can try doing what the above post says, reset the ECU and see if the CEL still comes on.

What? Are you seriously just trying to boost your post count?

ok so...so far i swapped the ecu and still its coming on...
again the cel light only comes on when you're in any gear, well mostly third and forth cause those are my coasting gears and then as soon as you press on the clutch pedal, pop it into neutral or put it in fifth it disappears...and again it only happens when its coasting...
any more ideas? if you're more than 1/3 on the throttle it will not appear but once it appears it doesnt go away no matter what until in neutral or fifth gear.
