Default 5th gen tranny noise through shifting

Today, when i was driving to school (pretty wet roads + balding tires = NOT FUN) So after i park my car and im ready to leave, I see a street cleaning sign at 7-8 (7:40 at the time) and I see the twisted look of the meter maid, getting out of his car and walking towards me. Of course I hop in the car as quick as I can and GTFO, I didn't feather the pedal like normal, I punched it probably to 70-80% throttle and shifted to 2, i hear a clinking poppy noise and so i go into neutral and coast until i could make a turn. the damn slippery roads kept me accelerating pretty good until i got to the bottom and misjudged braking and had to brake hard, my turn signal popped out and skidded on the ground, i pull up the ebrake and shut her down to pick up the signal. anyways after that I noticed a clunky metal noise while im shifting gears and I just checked now there's seepage on my tranny housing. (the gap is coated w/ oil)

What can be clinking down there? maybe a pin or something came off and fell in? What im asking is, could it have been that brief moment of 1st gear that did it? ill check for tranny fluid leaks later.. im starting to think that I should start saving for a complete changeover and start fresh

the dampening springs on the clutch disc or something off the pressure plate....the only way to find out is take it apart. it may even be the tranny its self

dont think its the tranny, i took it out a couple hours ago, it grabs and enters gear just fine and it didnt grind or popout or anything through any thing i threw at it. (i took it to 65-6700 in 2nd gear and shifted into 3rd great) afterwards i looked under and i think the seepage is due to a bolt missing or something, it looks like its a couple MM and doesn't leak. (maybe overnight a couple drops)

maybe it'll magically stop making the noise tomorrow. im lookin over the schematics to see which bolt could be missing.

thanx for input
