using a p06 in place of a p28?? will this hurt an ex engine?
now i know a p06 is for a 1.5l but how bad would it to use a p06 in a stock ex honda.. -the issue is, the car got jacked for the p28, and now this ladie at my wifes work is with out a car.. ive got a M/T computer out of a dx '95 will this hurt her motor if its just a daily driver>>>? i know she wont have vtec.. but i dont think she really cares.. any advice will help.. thanx
Im not sure on how the engine will run.
but i had a DX ecu when i had a EX motor in my car and it ran like crap, but it ran.
i dont think it will have any trouble shifting. the A/T works on a pressure plate for shifting.

You can use a p06 to run a EX, but I think the auto/5spd difference might be an issue. I've run a manual p28 in my car (I have an auto) with no CELs, and I've used an auto p06 for hundreds of miles with no issues.
You can run the p06 with the z6 with no trouble. Like you said the lady won't have vtec but the car will run fine for a dd. I did it for a few months when I did my swap from a b7 and never had any problems. Idk about the manual ecu for an auto tranny though.
thats how i got my car through inspection and i was b16 with a po6. it will work obviously no vtec.
