-COLD AIR INTAKE
-DC RACE HEADERS
-2 1/2 PIPPING TO HKS EXHAUST
First Run Made 197WHP

Does that sound about right?
I'm posting this for a friend who got his car tuned and wanted to know if thats about how much HP he should be making.

Does your tuner have any experience on tuning kpro? it seems abit low I would say, have you check your compression? I made 190 with just a cold air, and flash 4. All dyno reads different, you can try to go to a different one to find out.

I thought that was backwards where the dynapack reads higher...I have the 3in Injen SP1576 cold air intake, Comptech short header & HKS Hi-Power exhaust on my EP and I dynoed @ 153whp on a dynapack and stock is usually @ 132whp - 138whp...so your saying that with these basic mods I gained 15-21whp? I think that is a little too much...

That is too low...only 5whp gain from k-pro tuning...I think it has to do with your K-Pro tuning...

all the gains are middrange
i've got about 5-6 whp peak as well

add some ignition and adjust the cam angles
alot of tuners still dont understand how the k words mostly because the b&h are still popular so the think they both work the same
you have to graph out each cam angle then adjust the cam angle map according to the dyno sheets to make power
but you have to tune about 12 different maps to do so try adding ignition to the power columns and whe you start to register knock remove a few degrees of advance

thats why some people dont like tuning kpro because soo much maps you gotta tune.

I can help you if you let me
my car was tuned WITHOUT tuning each vtc map independantly (but still takes more effort & time)
FYI a stock 2006 si dyno'd 165/136 on the same dyno

get me a copy of his calibration - what was used for basemap? who did the tune - doesn't sound like vtc was touched? what do the vtc maps look like for high cam. does tuner know to leave knock sensor enabled? as k-pro does NOT pull timing - its up to the tuner to tune out knock
I have k20a w/rbc did 201/137 untuned & 220/156 tuned... gained 50whp & 40lb ft at 5K (this was on a LOW reading dynapack... gains here from k-pro tuning ALONE
