Default Anybody else semi dissappointed w/ the Greddy Evo 2 Catback?

Topic...

I wasn't looking for obnoxious like every red civic on the road, but it seems like this exhaust is just too quiet. My setup is just a dc header, greddy evo2 catback and an injen short ram. Would anybody suggest getting a race cat? How much louder would it be if I got one? Also would anybody recommend the hondata reflash? Thanks in advance.

Why do you want a loud exhaust anyways? If anything, a quiet aftermarket exhaust is a good thing.

Im just considering the options. I think the rsx sounds really nice with a loud exhaust. All I wanted to know was how much louder it would be with a race cat and if you would suggest a hondata reflash.

you dont need a reflash, you dont even have a RH. it'll be a bit louder with a high flow cat, as long as its got bigger piping than the stock one

Even with the race header, the Evo 2 is still not going to be loud. That exhaust was street tuned to give a nice deep tone. Not high pitch loud like your expecting. I used to have the Evo 2 also, paired with my Comptech race header. And i got mostly bass from the exhaust. If you want to wake up drivers on the road then get the Thermal 3-Inch Exhaust.

If you want a loud (ricer) exhaust, then sell the Greddy and buy a cheap N1 style off of ebay. That should impress all of your friends.

I probably wont end up changing anything because I do alot of night driving and id rather have it quiet at night. The evo 2 is a nice deep tone at low end, definitly not rice. And Todd00 lets not assume Im trying to impress anybody. Kind of a dumb reason to buy things for a car dont you think?

I hate to be mean, but WTF is the point of drawing that much attention to yourself. Not to mention freeway trps suck, you can't hear the radio, talk to your friends, etc.

I never understood that... i've always loved my exhaust to be quite but have the performance gain, even if it's like 5 hp. lol i can't stand that loud obnoxious pissed off bumble bee in a folgers can sound it sounds like a weed eater on steroids. Unfortunately what i hate is what came with the 02 type s i bought not to long ago but it's not going to be on for long, it's going bye bye. I'll just have to live with it for now... and i can't hear myself think that crap is so loud.
