Default 1989 Civic LX Sedan Cluster into a 1990 DX Hatch?

i have all the pin outs for the civic hatch, and CRX, 88-89 and 90-91, but the 89 LX has different wiring. i removed the LX cluster from a car in a junk yard, it had never been taken out before, and i even cut the wiring from the car, never unplugging the LX cluster. does anyone know what wire is what (pin out) for an 88-89 civic sedan LX?

all civic clusters 1988-89 are the same. you need a 90-91 cluster if you have a 90. its you can wire it but alot of the stuff wont work 100%. just save the trouble and time and find a 90-91 cluster.

the clusters are exactly the same size, and you can use the 88-89 cluster in a 90-91 if you know where the wires go. http://faq.ef-honda.com/index....ng=en
I had used the pin outs on this site to the tee, but the LX wires are different from the Hatchback wiring harness pictured in this very popular, often sourced, article.
Yes, having the 90-91 cluster would be easy, you are right.
Who has a pinout for the LX?

seriously dude its some extra work for something that you can buy and just bolt right in. plus the 90-91 clusters look way better.

They arent the same size, the top of a 90-91 cluster stand out further then the 88-89 cluster and the dash cover for the cluster wont fit.

thanks you i thought i was correct on cluster size. 88-89 smaller than 90-91. the 90-91 dash can use almost any cluster after 90+ integ, civic si, crv etc...
