Default Still havent got to enjoy my 89 SI drove it 40 miles before it died part II Tech help needed

Ok this is my first Honda a 1989 Honda Civic SI. The original issue is the car stalled on the highway and when coming to a stop. I could restart it right away but it would die further down the road. Also happened the first day I bought the car.

So the car has been sitting for weeks I replaced the distributor with a unit from Distributor King and resoldered the main relay. The car will still not start currently but will crank. After about 10 tries it will start for a moment then when I give it gas to keep the motor running it will not react to throttle inputs so flooring it will not move the engine rpm and it will stay choking at 500 rpm then stall. After a few more tries it will idle perfectly for as long as you do not move the car. As soon as you put it in gear and start going it cuts out after 50 feet. The check engine light is not on.

The main relay appears to be good I feel the first click then the second click after the check engine light goes out and the third when you go to start the car. It does click rapidly when the battery is low trying to start it must be the relay opening and closing.

So what should I check next ignition, fuel pump, any ideas?

( if posible) try lifting each spark plug wire off the spark plug away form getting spark and do it one at a time and if the engine shuts off while started, and if the enigne shuts off get new spark plugs sincs plugs are cheaper and if that dont work get new plug wires a good set. i had the same problem with my old hatch when i did a swap in it the wires were bad tho. but let me know what happens goodluck
