Hi, my 92 prelude blew up all over the I5 (kinda caught me off guard, the thing was running great). Im stuck in seattle, but i found a guy on craigslist with a 94 motor. I have checked around and cant seem to find any problems with the swap but I thought I'd check with the experts. If its all ok then all I have to do is find a shop that's willing.

If the 92 is also an H23 it will swap over perfect they are the same thing. 96 would be OBDII so that wouldnt be so good.

 

should be a straight swap over. like snobordboi was saying, 96 and up started obdII so you should be fine.

Although it sounds like you are stuck and dont have time, you really should think about swapping a new timing belt and water pump on the engine going in, to be on the safe side.
