<U>Updated on 9/8....bottom of page and page 2</U>


I purchased a 1996 Civic CX about a year ago as a side project to mess around with in my spare time. I just wanted to build another Civic because I had been out of the game for almost 6 years. Heres my progress so far:


Heres what is looked like about a month after I got it. I picked up a Carbon hood at this point, nothing else:




Picked up all the necesary tools...AIR TOOLS are a must!




I started with the engine bay. The 2000 conversion was done, but not cleaned up



Cleaned up and painted....Sorry, pic sux




I then moved on to the interior. I took out all the Sound deadening BS. This was by far the worst part of the project so far.



Cleaned it up and painted it



On for the exterior.....

All the body parts



On the trailer, ready for the body shop



Back from the shop...i still need to properly align everything










NEXT STEPS

The motor is off at the machine shop getting balanced and blue-printed. I will add all the motor shots once its back.......


***Update**** 9/7/2007

Worked on the rear suspension...i love that ASR subframe in Black!

FOR SURE...going with Spoon Carbon mirrors, but i figured I might as well get the stock ones painted

Looks like a good start. I'd paint the foglight vents black though.

 

Yep, i still have to paint the fog light vents black because the body shop forgot to tape them off...a$$hats

 

something about those side grills looks weird.. i cant describe it

that **** need to be slamed with those slipstreams~but still looks good so far

 

i can still drop it about another inch all the way around, but its a pain in the *** to push it up in my garage without scrapng. once the motor is done that **** will be on the ground!

great work, i would just paint your little grills where the fog lights go black and its in there

 

needs a SI grill and your set

Get some duplicolor bumper paint, and it will look just like the OEM plastic.
