ow do i take apart the shifter in a 98 civic, in order to replace the orings and hte other parts that come with the shifter rebuild kit? like a step by stp, removing the shift boot , gettin to the shifter etc..

It's for a 5th gen. but I used it as a guide when I put my skunk 2 shifter in my Si.

EDIT: To remove the shifter boot, there are 8 (I,think) screws that run along the center console that need to be taken out first. After that, just lift up on the center console and everything should come up. Then there a couple of screws that hold the boot on. Pop those off and you're good to go.
