Default Exhaust or Cold Air Intake for 2001 CIVIC LX f--- which first...what kind? 200$ TO SPEND

I'm looking to make my civic a bit faster, but at the same time...make it sound good.
I do NOT want my civic to sound like "a pissed off bumblebee" If ya know what I mean.

Should I get an exhaust first? Or a cold air intake?

Either way...Ill be gettin both of them as soon as possible, but looking to buy one of them ASAP.

I have roughly 200 dollars to spend, can go up a bit........any suggestions on what kinds of exhausts to look at? Any videos of some civics or pics of some civics with some exhausts in this price range? THanks guys.

I have the K&N Typhoon intake and I am really happy with it... Good name backing it up and all though you barely get any real power gain you will see a slight but still very small rise in fuel mileage. As for the sound i feel and have been told on several occasions before I even got my exhaust that my engine sounded awesome. It deepened the overall tone when really getting on it along with adding that kinda sucking/whistling sound that most intakes will give you. As for exhaust I have a magnaflow which is ok sounding as long as you let it warm up a bit before giving it any real gas... but I have heard a borla system and it sounded extremely well on the d17

get an intake, short ram or cold air. i had both, cold air and a skunk2 cat back. the piping is way to big on the skunk2 for our cars, i do alot of highway driving and the noise eventualy got the best of me and i took it off. not to mention if you do anything wrong on the road the cop will prolly give you a hard time for it being illegal. id play it safe and go with the intake. also with 200 bucks you arnt going to get much of exhaust.

depending on what type of transmission you have, you might have to get a specific intake from a specific brand.
