Default short shifter ?s

will the skunk2 dual bend look like this



or is that set up wrong?

pretty much want to know if the boot will come all the way up to the shift ****, cause the way that setup is, it looks horrendous.

i think that the right set up.thats what i have in my eg.the shift boot sits down on the shifter

that bites, i saw one picture somewhere..cant remember..but saw the skunk2 dual bend with skunk2 ****..and the boot was all the way up to the **** and it looked good..but i just saw that pic and questioned it..i think it looks like ****

no the boot will reach all the way up to the shift **** on any short shifter dual or single bend w/o any modification

some zip tied the boot, some took the plastic ring off the oem boot and screwed the **** on top of the leather, some glued the boot from the inside

yeah it does look like ****, but it does not bother me much.maybe some zip tie or something might help.

Here's my girlfriend's car. We used two neoprene washers.

Take off the center console, put the neoprene washers on the shifter, slide down past the threads. Put the center console back on, put the shift **** on, and adjust as needed.

how do the neoprene washers hold it up? sorry, haven't gotten to install one of these yet so im not exactly sure of these things.

They hold up just fine. They're just a rubber washer that gives the shift boot something to rest on.

I don't quite remember, we brought in a spare shifter and test fit them in the hardware store.

no boot FTW, skunk2 SS and ****, but currently i am using an OEM **** for factory appearence. OEM rubber boot FTW

edit: the SS want installed in the pic, obviously.
