in general i would avoid buying modified used cars unless you know the owner personally and know if he was on top of maintenance of the car and his driving style.
you can assume that 'most' modded cars have been beaten hard by their owners.
its a generalization with some exceptions.
unless the modded car is a killer deal i wouldn't even bother looking at it for anything close to book value.

Yo thats fast and furious!... whats with the hood? sorry carbon fiber hoods were cool 5 years ago..
Never mind in the future you will end up spending some good money to get a stock hood or that hood painted.
price seems a bit on the high end.. you are better off looking for a stock car.
good luck

I would advise against it, for the following reasons:
1. It's a base model RSX, so it's only 5-speed and has the K20A3.
2. It appears to be a "semi-riced" RSX, with the Tenzo-R seatbelt covers and Short Ram intake. So, it was probably owned by someone with no real knowledge on car modification, and was probably beat on fairly hard.
3. The price is on the high side. If it were a stock Type-S, I would say the pricing would be sufficient. But, it's far from a stock Type-S, in a bad way.

I would pass..don't do it....keep your car sell it privately and with that money put a down payment on a new used car with 2k miles on it..never buy new...always used with low miles...and certified..

So I just got back and here's the scoop. Got in it to test drive it...no power steering or a/c. F**k that. I gotta have a/c. So I asked about the hood. They have the stock hood and the stock wheels to go with what's on it. The hood is Vis. It's got some pretty cheesy fake *** cf mirrors on it. Beside that I took his *** to kbb.com and right there he got his manager and went down to 13k. They will pay off my car and give me 2grand to get the a/c and p/s fixed. No engine mods besides intake and that sweet *** yellow valve cover...haha. I'm still undecided. I can't stand this Civic anymore.
Edit- The 2gs I'm speaking of is cause the owner of the dealership didn't want to mess around with his shop having to do it and "needed the car gone"

Of course they want it gone with all the problems its gonna have or already has. I say dont do it. There probably giving u no warranty because its modded too right ? i vote for stock type-s FTW
get rid of the wheels, you have yourself a nice, stock, rsx-s

the cars that come into the dealer that are modified like that have been abused either by the old owner or by the people in the dealer ship, i would never by a car modified from a dealer maybe a close close friend, even if the dealer checks it out their checks are not in depth usually changing the oil and maintenance so if there is a problem they would not find it trust me i work at a dealer not a good idea there is a reason it was traded in most likely about to brake
exactly. if you can talk them into letting you take the car to a credible shop and checking it out then maybe consider it. and make sure 2g's would cover the a/c and power steering problems. and you'd need to find out why the hell that doesn't work on a car this new in the first place. if the only mods are intake and valve cover why would the a/c and powersteering even need to be messed with?
i dont know dude... i'd stray away from that car.

Sounds like "MAYBE" the car was boosted before...whoever had it before took out the a/c and p/s then put everything back together without making everything work.
but its just a theory. Either way this car sounds like a lemon.
Keep looking around something better will come along.

for a couple grand more you could get yourself a new whip, with an even longer warranty, unmolested, and it would be more reliable than that thing would ever be.
be smart with your money.. sometimes what you want isnt always the best choice.
