is it easier to adjust it when the clutch pedal is pushed down by someone in the car? It's very difficult to get any kind of grip with more than 2 fingers the way this is set up.

I always grap the clutch cable housing with one hand and pull up on it..
This takes the pressure off of the nut and makes it easier to turn
with your fingers..
