Can you put a 86 civic si motor and tranny in a 89 civic lx sedan? If so what would it take? Also will the fuel rail and injectors of a 88-91 multipoint fit on a 86 si motor. I know that these are not your common swaps but I need to know.

 

Yes you can put that motor in but youll have to fab up custom mounts. Not worth it when you can get a used newer (like, 99) d series for like 200 or 300 dollars.

I dont think your fuel rail will fit on an 86 SI. Not sure though.
