I took out my GS-R cams and I'm goin to sell it soon, but they're dirty and covered in Oil. Can I wash them in water and saop to clean it then dry it? Will it affect anything? I would think it won't do nothing bad for the cams..... Will it? Please let me know. Thanks!

Actually, someone else put it in for me for free. I need to Dyno Tune it now, but I BARELY drive my GS-R around. Maybe once every two weeks or so, so I can wait for it to get it tuned.

How are you liking your ITR cams? What about your VAFC? Did you tune your car yet?

Yeah but the ITR cams were dope, gotta love that midrange!

 

I use brake cleaner on pretty much everything. Just spray some on a lint free rag (if you don't want to make a linty mess) and start rubbing and wiping

 

top off with a spray of wd-40 or the cams willl rust within hours.

 

Water will = rust

 

yup, I always just put a nice coat of oil on cams and rap them in a towel for storage.
