Is a Prelude a Grown up Car?
haha I think it was an old persons car when it was more expensive (off the showroom floor), now that it's more affordable in the used market, more kids can get in them.
You're asking a Forum on the Internet, which is going to have more of a younger generation viewing it than a older crowd. So the scale will probably tip to the younger side of things for here.
We can't give you an overall statistic though.

When I think of "grown up's car" I usually think of something more high end like a bmw or lexus. Around here I see about equal amounts of older women/men and younger women/men driving preludes, but I cant say I've seen more than 15-20 in the 4 years I've had mine.
I do think that a prelude is classier than other Hondas of it's generation though, whether or not that makes it a "grown ups" car is up to you.

Things like that are relative to the age of the car. Back when it was new, it was 20-25k, so it's was more of an up and coming man's car. Somewhere between 25-35, who was starting to make 75k+ per year. Now that they're in the 10k or less mark, high school kids are getting them when they turn 16
I think the 5th gen is classier and more sophsticated sports car. Sharp angles and a long front end, beefy engine, and a classy interior with lots of options. If that makes it more suited to an older, more financially stable person, then sure. It's an older person's car.

5g interiors look like civics and integras IMO
I like everything else about the car.
Most would probably say 4g ludes are too small to be a "grown up" car though I don't think so.

I consider a prelude everyone's car for all ages, I am 50 and have had every Prelude generation from my twenties all through the years up to now, plus Civics and Accords in between.
I currently run a 5th gen and the only thing I have to complain about is, why did they not make a 6th gen, it's criminal.

I notice alot of older guys in my area driving 5th gens! Yea a 6th gen would be nice. I think there scared to stop sales on the civic and rsx. It would def have to be a k26 though bc its always had the bigger motor lol.
I live in a fairly small town where I can count the number of preludes there are. I'd say it's around a 60/40 split, with the 60 being the younger crowd. The older ones that do have preludes aren't into them, it's just the car they have.

The only people that refer to these cars as 4th gen and 5th gen, are us. I highly doubt anybody has ever said that.
