Default I need a quiet cat back exhaust system

Now that I'm turbo I need to dump my restrictive stock exhaust. Can anyone suggest a quiet exhaust system?

Well the problem with the quiestest of catback exhaust systems is that they are still quite restrictive...this is because they do not have straight through mufflers. The Apexi WS or RS is probably the quietest aftermarket catback exhaust system you can buy. It has very nice 60mm piping but the muffler is like a brick wall when high flow is needed.

The nicest-sounding/quietest straight-through designed systems I'd recommend are:

-GReddy SP

-Greddy EVO (kinda loud, I heard it on a 5th gen SS and it was WAY louder and ricier sounding than my Greddy SP.)

-Tanabe Super Hyper-Medalion (*I'd really look into this one...it now has full stainless piping..this is NOT like the racing medalion btw)

-Mugen (if you want to spend that much. It would probably be the best exhaust for performance/quietness ratio)

You might also want to consider the Apexi N1. It WILL give very very nice gains. It is one of the louder exhausts but you could use the silencer and it will sound near stock supossedly.

Also keep in mind that you having turbo will quiet down your exhaust note too.

HTH

On PO.com someone posted a new to US N1 style cat back that was 65 mm. Probably loud as crap but that's the biggest non custom diamter I've seen so far. I've yet to see a quiet/non restrictive exhaust. If there was one out there I'd say 80% of us would have it.

if your car is turbo it's gonna be pretty quiet anyway.
i would suggest an apex N1 rear section with 3 inch piping. it will be quiet.

yeah since its turbo, it shouldn't be that loud (eventhough mine was like just as loud before). I would suggest 3" piping with a thermal research muffler. THe thermals are pretty loud, but many of their mufflers are small enough so that if you weld a stock looking tip on, its not noticeable.

if your turbo, you need a turbo muffler. tanabe g power will not be the best choice due to the size. i'd look into greddy evo or apex. how about sheepdog?
