well here is a breakdown of my super mild build. got a gsr block with no rods or pistons yet and was going to use gsr rods (friend has for free) and was looking at either ctr or itr pistons. (which would you prefer?). the head was just completely gone over 3 angle valve job all new valve train. it has an itr intake manifold and throttle body. trying to decide what cams to use.( want to ditch the stock b16 cams). sounds like the itr's would be a good choice which leads into my next questions...
first off it's a b16 head with a stock valve train would it be a problem to use itr cams with stock b16 springs and retainers?
next question would be, i have gsr rods to use would it be any different to use ctr pistons with this set up instead of itr pistons? using a gsr block btw.
i tried searching but nothing too definete. tyia.

Of course they would or Honda wouldn't have put them together in the first place. Poor mans ITR? I guess so, what's wrong with that? CTR pistons aren't exactly going to radically change anything.. If you really did search you would have seen huge discussions about using ITR vs CTR pistons...

i didn't look much into that so much as if using itr cams in a b16 works fine. and from what i gathered the intaje side is fine were as the exhaust side is questionable?
