im a rookie at painting............i would like to get some hint on painting my 91 prelude myself and whats the best way to sand the whole car and primer it.

 

u dont need to primer unless u did body work, just scuff and clean, tack, paint!

 

so what do i do just sand it down and paint it

 

you do exactly what he told you to do. sand it, scuff it ,clean it, tack it ,spray it

 

I know a lot about how to prep a car for paint that hasnt had body work(but types of primers confuse me a lot), but for you, scuff with red 3m pad, or 500 grit to be safe, wax/grease remover, tack cloth it, and spray away, but remember to tack between coats
