Default 5G lower audio console.

I've been searching all over and can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. Can a DIN cd player be used with the stock pocket? Is there a metra kit I that fits? I have the console but the dealership shorted me the pocket that comes with the kit. I'm trying to find a way to mount my cd player down there without trying to locate an OEM pocket. I've been looking at the metra kits and it looks like a 99-7898 would work. Anyone have any experience?

I used to have that lower console on my old hatch and a Metralink kit does work. The opening is the same size as an Integra (94-up).

exactly. i bought the metra kit for the integra and neither the cage or the iso mount brackets fit into the opening. also how do you attach the kit in there? the pocket is to short to reach the bracket in the back.

How do you stabilize the radio? Cage? Bracket?

i used the scoche hon-k828 kit from best buy. break off all the tabs, put in the radio cage and bend cage tabs to hold it all together. i work at best buy, we have both metra and scoche kits to fit this but the scoche is nicer. heres an old pic.
