Default Engine Swap Question

Im considering putting a b16a sirI engine in my 98 civic hx. Would I still need to buy new engine mounts and shift linkage? And would my car be able to pass inspection in new york considering the new engine is not obdII?

a SiR II won't drop right into his 98 civic, its OBD1, and his civic is OBD2. You will have to do a little wiring for a SiR II but you won't have to worry about the tranny cuz its hydro. For a truly PNP swap for your 98 HX, you want a 99/00 Si B16A2.
