I came out side today, and I could that something was wrong with my rear window. So I walked to the back of my car and my rear window is completely shattered. It does not look like someone hit it, it just shattered by itself. What could cause this to happen?
Was the window ever replaced to your knowledge? I have seen this before on a few different vehicles due to improper instillation. The stress on the window finally gives and it just shatters. I have even seen it happen with one of those huge glass windows at the malls. It doenst mean this is what happened to your window but it does happen.

I purchased this car about nine months ago, and I know the previous owner did not take care of it. The worst part of it is that my insurance company wants me to pay a deductable that is higher than the cost of repair so I am going to pay for it out of pocket, and this will be the second time it was in the shop this week. I am down nearing $1200.00 this month.
