My a/c fan only works on 3 or 4 and will not work on 1 or 2 on my 97 2d dx, does anyone know if thats a fuse prob or a fan motor problem?

Assuming you meant your climate control blower fan.....your blower resistor is bad - replace it.

(Parts stores sell this too, but theyre typically more expensive)


Lower your glove box and you'll see it sticking out of the blower unit, held down by 2 screws and has an electrical connector sticking out.

Speed 1 has the largest resistor, 4 has none, 2 and 3 are intermediate. -> Thats how it works

Is it hard to get at?? aka quick fix????? I already found one on ebay.

 

Go inspect it before you buy anything...and dont buy a used one...

Take all the crap out of your glove box, press the sides of the box inward so you can get it past the stops, then just open it all the way down.
You will see it, right in front of your face.

 

Awsome, I thought I would have to take the glove box out, I have done it before so no worries, I was scared I would have to take the dash out (thats sucks).
