i'm thinkin bout swapping a k20 from a 2002 rsx type s to my crx. i already know i need motor mounts and shift linkage what else might i need? what are some ups and downs to the k20 swap to a crx? help is appreciated.

You might want to check on k20.org if you can't find everything on H-T but you will need:
k-pro ecu (or AEM)
hasport mounts (not sure if anyone make mounts for ef besides from hasport) custom axels (hasport)
sub harness conversion (hasport, rywire)
shifter box (karcept)
intake (almost any short ram intake for RSX)
Just to name a few of the things you need. The up's, the K responds well to bolt ons, flows better then a B, not as heavy as an H. The downs, expensive, expensive, expensive. But all this info can be found if you "Search" it.
