I just thought I'd post this up, it was nagging at me with the last 2 EF's I've had.
Long story short, the cruise control requires at least one horn to be wired up. Cruise stopped working on my last sedan when I added the turbo kit (removed horns), and this 'new' sedan had all the horn wires corroded/broken off. Wired the driver's side horn up, cruise works.
Its shown as 'grounded' via the horns in the service manual (junked old sedan before I could fix it), but I seriously don't know how they could've done that, I suppose one lead is directly grounded.
I hope this eventually helps someone, cruise is fun to have again.
