Default will this intake fit? --n00b

I have had this intake for a while, but would it work on my Accord? Also, is this considered a SRI? I would get a K&N filter with it..Will I need any other tubes or anything like that?

Thanks

Well it turns out that it doesnt fit right off the bat. The intake starts out straight and then has a bend in it. Honda intakes all have an immediate bend to them. The filter of my aftermarket intake ends up in the ECU box.

Any suggestions or sollutions?

You'd just have to cut or heat and bend to shape. I don't know what kind of material it is, and if it is malleable at all.

Just curious, did you get it for free? Or did you order an intake for another vehicle accidentally instead of for your Accord?

I didn't buy it. My brother bought it for his gf's car but it didnt fit so he just handed it over to me years ago before i even had a car. I want to make use of it now.

Eh, if you get it for free, experiment with some cuts or bends. In the end if didn't work, you got it for free who cares. If it works, you got a free SRI.

x2

That looks more like a integ or civic intake.
The one on my accord is longer and reaches all the way down to my head light. So since that one only goes to your fuse box then its the WRONG one.

try and install it the other way. where the breather nipple is, that should be the side that attaches to the throttle body. and the filter should just go on the other end.

this is what i was thinking too...
it might not work tho... may be too close to the dizzy

you could cut about 3 inches off the straight end, might work then

I agree, work with it yourself to see if you can make it fit. If not... no worries you can pick them up for cheap.

nothing else needed.... just from that intake... your "v-tech" will kick in a lot harder and earlier... might need to upgrade ECU!!

youre a genius! I never thought of switching the sides. I was taking off the filter to switch em around when it broke. Its a crappy little filter; I'm ganna test out the new fit tomorrow & if it works out, im ganna go get a K&N filter.

Except, what kind of K&N do i get? This is a generic pipe, aren't K&N filters fitted for certain models?
