is there potential on a b18a1? what kinds of streel legal performance parts can you put on it? so far all i added was a generic AEM cold air intake. (sticks carb sticker and AEM decal on a no brand intake)

the b-18a is a fairly stout motor for not having mad VTAK Y0 LOL but yea, there is tons of potential, LS turbo, LS vtec, or just straight up LS lol. with bolt ons and if you know how to drive you can keep up (or beat) newer GS-R's. just research and see. GL

although living in cali puts a limit on what you can do LEGALLY...there is still PLENTY of legal potential for the b18a1

LS vtec, or Turbo.. thats pretty much all I would ever do.. otherwise, you might as well get a b18c1..

Turbo mag had a project car. I think it was a 94 or 95 LS. They did LS/VTEC with basic breathing upgrades and got 160whp. With Skunk2 cams (I believe stage 2) and adjustable cam gears on the dyno they got 190'ish. There might have been more to it, but the whole point was that it was smog legal. Sorry I can't find any reference article or anything. Just throwing the info out there.

This is what I plan on doing with my DA down the road.
