Camber and LS/Vtec questions..
Ok I have a 90 Integra I just bought a few weeks ago. We noticed that the wheels and tires were leaning in so we bought a kit for the back wheels but I was wondering whats the best way to do the front? The new control arms with adjustable ball joints? Is there a little cheaper way that is just as good? Also, I'm looking to do an LS/Vtec probably using a GSR head. What all would I need in order to do that and have everything work? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
well for your camber question, if you wanna fix the camber completely in the front, the best way is just to order a front camber kit and get an alignment done. i dont know if there is actually a "cheap" way to go about it, but its a lot cheaper than having to buy new tires every 3-5 months lol.
As far as your ls/vtec conversion, you would need the b16 or gsr head of course, a b16/gsr/type r oil pump, gsr ecu, and a vtec conversion kit (i believe golden eagle makes one). someone correct me if im wrong or missing something

Any recommendations for the camber kits? Im on a budget so the least expensive/decent quality route is for me. Brands? Suppliers? Thanks.
LS vtec makes for a large budget. I can't belive that a camber kit would thorow off you whole budget. I have a skunk 2 kit and it is great.
Im not planning on doing the ls/vtec right now. Im not employed right now, I was just trying to figure out everything I would need and price it out so I know how much to put to the side. And for the camber kit, I have money for it. Just some of the kits seem a little pricey. Thats why I was asking who has what or for suggestions.

camber does not excessively wear tires. it's a common misconception. the wear actually comes from toe caused by lowering the car. Toe is bad by itself...add toe to camber and it's a monster that eats tires. If you just fix the toe by getting a standard alignment, your tires will wear nice and even..unless you're doing burn outs....or you have like 8 degrees of camber. I've had a few cars with around 2-3 degrees of camber. No uneven tire wear. However, My S2000 has -2.6 front and -3 rear. It DOES eat tires...but S2000s do that stock. BECAUSE OF THE AGRESSIVE TOE SETTING. But you wouldnt want to take the toe back out of an S2000 unless you like being in ditches.
ANYWAY....OP, if you plan on launching the car, a camber kit would be a good idea since it puts more rubber on the road for straight line extravaganzas. The front adjustable UCAs aren't too expensive...around $200 ish? that's not too bad. Just buy a quality kit. I've really like SKUNK2 quality. They make some well engineered ish.
