.....just hold out till this coming tuesday and I'll try to post up a thread.
I may consider making a few of these for my friends.
This is a replacement for the stock cat, and is a test pipe with the ability to run open header at will...
It's true 2.5" and is a good and inexpensive alternative to purchasing a catback.
Also completely quiet and stealthy (stock look and sound) when not open. Ground clearance is as good as stock.
Just be patient guys, it'll be sooooo worth it.

Open header absolutely dominates all. Being able to raise my trap speeds by 3mph for free is quite nice, but having to crawl under the car each time is a pain.

When you run an open header, does your CEL go off? If so, won't your engine run a rich air:fuel ratio?
Also, if your CEL is set off when running an open header, does it turn off when you put the rest of the exhuast piping back in place?
TIA

very nice , its a must !
I'm new to the engine tuning world and have a couple of questions.

.....well I had to run open header for 2 months a while back and it's loud as ****.
Recently I had to do it again while I was sorting out all the BS with testpipes and cutouts and all the prototyping I've been doing.
I initally wasn't worried about a CEL b/c I already had one staring me in the face all the time from my toda cams.
The good news is: I've also gotten some o2 sensor extenders, and am building into them some resistors (thanks to AssPenny for the idea and schematics), so they're 2ndary o2 sensor "foolers." Plug and play in between where your existing 2ndary o2 sensor goes. Nice, eh? Basically it'll prevent an o2 sensor from throwing a CEL, and the cutout/ test pipes will also have a bung so you can always use a wideband if you want.....
As I said, more to come this coming week.....
is yours a mechanical cut out? cause ive seen electronic ones too. i dont know if i would be comfortable with having electronic stuff down there with all that heat. which would you recomend?
