besides the car being insane, i love the fact that at 1000WHP, the car barely moves on the dyno.

Ive seen civics w/ street tires jump more than that thing.

to English Racing.

it's still absolutely amazing how technologies in engine management have made things like this happen and then drive them on the street with a displacement between 1.8L to 2.5L. It's just nice to spend 10-20K on an entire setup and have it be faster than a Ferrari or the ungodly Bugatti.

Good way to look at it.

Engine management has come a LONG way in the past ~6 years.

Not to play devils advocate or anything, but the new fastest time for the AMS EVO is 8.54. I do agree with you though, saying that evo will beat any honda is an ignorant generalized statement.

Noted, 8.54 is hauling some serious ***.

Surely once more experience is had working with these cars the times will come down.

We've been making honda's fast for 20 years now. Evo is fairly new. Seems like the have tons of potential.

And seeing the AMS's 60ft, I'd say there's more room for improvement.

1k AWHP is pretty crazy, no matter how you look at it. But turning it into good track times is a whole different ballgame, looks like its 'doomed' to live life as a shop queen.

Wow, the guy even misses 4th for a second. Good stuff. I wish Honda would make an awd sedan with tuning potential

Ever heard of the acura RL?

Spoons got one. It dominates. Though it's classed horribly.

So far it's went 9.43 @ 157.50 with a mediocre 60ft. You have to keep in mind that this is a privately owned car with a few sponsors, so when things break he doesn't always have the money to just fix it and keep going.

no its not the first 1000hp evo, but i believe it the first 2.0liter one to hit that number, all the others are 2.3 or 2.4liters
