I have a greddy knockoff and it works fine and sounds just like a real greddy. I had to cut the spring to make it work, but it works perfectly now.

On my knock off type s I didn't have to cut or remove the springs either, and also it did fine under 22psi! You got your good ones, and bad ones.

On my Rs knock off I was still geting some surge after adjusting it so I took out the smaller spring and it worked fine.Your hit or miss on them working out of the box fine without removing or changing the spring but either way it works.Got mine for 35 or something like that from donald on hmt when they were a lower price.

Im currently using a OBX 50mm blow off on my latest turbo setup and its actually a pretty nice quality piece and works perfect.Comes with a couple weld on flanges for steel and alum. etc.It is not nearly as cheap as alot of knock offs but still considerably less then Tial.

I think it was $125ish.Like i said it was well packaged, included all hardware, extra flages&o rings etc.Overall it seams to be a fairly nice piece not as good as a real Tial im sure but respectable.

Interesting,

So instead of buying a particular part from the original manufacturer who spent time and money on research and development to bring the product to market. you would rather purchase a product from a company that copied the original by passed all the R&D and sold it for less and used lower quality materials and also in many cases doesnt even work correctly unless modified.

Interesting mentality.

This explains why they have the damaged merchandise section in the super market. i always wondered who bought that stuff.

some people cant afford $200+ BOVs and wastegates when there whole setup is only worth 500 to begin with. a kid in highschool might not be able to afford the real thing and doesnt have too high of goals so cheap knockoffs are good in that case.

bottom line is these companies arent losing any business because the people who are buying the knockoffs wouldnt have bought the name brand part in the first place because they couldnt afford it.
