Hey, I have an LS motor with a type r trans....My fifth gear pops out of gear very frequently recently....

Im fairly positive this is due to thhe fifth gear synchro and im thinking of ordering the 5th gear sleeve kit from gear-speed...

what i wanna know is can anyone link me to a writeup on doing this??? or give me an idea of how difficult it is... Im basicly an entry level tech, still in school, so I can work on cars but Ive never ripped into a tranny before...

Are the any other reasons that would cause this symptom that you guys have experienced... Ive searched but i havent had much luck

ive searched but all im findin is links to gear speed and peoples experience with their service....i want to do the work myself so i was hoping to find a writeup, the closest one i found was about putting an LS final drive in a b16 trans which is helpful but i was looking for something better?? anyone??
