Default hydraulic trans

whats the difference between a hydraulic trans and a regular one? i'm about to order a motor and trans and need to kno which is better and more reliable

Hydraulic and Cable tranny's refer to what kind of clutch the tranny uses not the actual tranny. Hydro trannys tend to last longer and are better because they are newer, cable trannys came in older cars like EF's and DA's
