v-tech engage but power drops off

Default v-tec engage but power drops off

just got done tuning my 89 civic with a d16y8 turbo at chris's shop(xenocron)....the car made 187.5whp and 170ftlbs but on the dyno graph, right when v-tec engages...the power drops off to a certain point and then stays the same...should the hp and torque curve rise up...wuts the problem here
